Weekly Weigh In

I decided to weigh today, since I weighed on Monday last week. I was curious to see how I did because I've had a pretty crappy week and I just felt like eating all the time. I thought for sure I wouldn't make my goal this week, but I DID!!! In fact, I far surpassed my goal! I now weigh 210.2 lbs!!! Talk about shocking! I weighed first with my shoes on (I know how much they weigh so I can just subtract it and I don't have to put my shoes back on!) I did the math and I was so shocked that I thought, "I'd better check, just to be sure" so i took off my shoes and weighed again...210.2! YIPPPEEE!!! I am so stoked. I was starving at the moment, so I asked my friend to come celebrate with me at Olive Garden. I needed some good comfort food. Don't worry, I didn't go too crazy. But I had Chicken Parmesan, salad, a few breadsticks, and a virgin strawberry daiquiri. The daiquiri was dessert-worthy, it was SO GOOD! My tummy is very happy still, and after the workout I had today, it was a much deserved and needed celebration! hope you all are finding success too! LOVE YA!!!

I need a vacation!

FYI...Tall Boy has been gone for the past week hunting. I was pleasantly surprised when he called today at 11am to tell me he would be home around 3pm. So I hustled and bustled to get the house clean, then I had time to relax a bit. 3pm came and went. I had to start cooking hot dogs for a church activity tonight, so I started that and he got home just before 4pm. While he was getting cleaned up, I was finishing all the little things I had to get done before the activity. by then it was 5pm, and I needed to be at the activity at 5:30. So, I got the kids dressed in their costumes, hot dogs and other stuff loaded in the truck. Hubby decided to stay home...understandable. But then i got to the activity. It seemed like the world exploded! Suddenly I am watching my kids, helping to set up, trying to problem solve, trying to get Super Girl to stop whining and crying, getting my car parked in the right spot for the trunk-or-treat, then feeding myself and 3 kids! Yes I said 3, my friend had to run off and asked me to watch her boy for a bit. So finally everyone is fed, then it is time for the Trunk-or-treat. I had my car ready to go, but no one to walk with my kids! So I took Super Girl and Super Boy as far as our car, and then then Super Boy go around to the rest on his own. We had a FRANKEN_PUMPKIN and a MYSTERY BOX! The Franken pumpkin was courtesy of Super Girl rearranging some animal push ins we got for her pumpkin this year. Then the mystery box was actually 2 boxes with 1 top over them both. The top had 2 holes and black fabric draped over. The kids had to pick a hole and stick their hand in for their treat. i joked with most of them about a reward for finding my pet snake or spider. Some didn't think it was very funny. By the time I was out of candy, Super Girl was ready to go home. So we headed home. I let the kids eat some of their candy. Then Super Girl needed a bath. So I gave her one and got her dressed for bed. Then I was finally able to sit down with my honey and relax for 2 seconds before Super Girl decided she wanted to watch a different show! So Now that it is 9:40pm, I can finally relax...but I think I'll just got to bed instead! thank Heavens I have my MOMMY'S DAY OFF TOMORROW! I'm going all out. Manicure, pedicure, highlights, hair cut, massage...after all...I DESERVE IT! Don't ya think! :) Goodnight friends!

Weekly Weigh In

Well, I didn't go to the gym today...too much stuff to clean at home. Thank heavens housework is a good workout! but I had my weigh in and measurements done on Monday, and I made my goal again! I am now 213 lbs! Also, my body fat has dropped from 36.5% to 34.8% in just 1 month! According to my trainer's calculations, I have lost 7.7 lbs and 6.5lbs of that was FAT!!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!! I am so excited! At this rate I'll meet my goal in about a year from now! 3 months ahead of schedule! The best thing is that I still eat like normal, I just make more conscious decisions about what, how much, and how often I eat . I really hope this trend continues! Wish me luck!

A Fabulous Weekend

Hello friends! Just had to blog to tell you about my fabulous weekend. I went to Hot Mama's house on friday and played Settlers and ate yummy treats. I spent the night and then went to a local discount craft store. I bought papers and stickers for scrapbooking. Then we scrapbooked from 1pm-6pm with a few breaks! I got 12 pages done! Then I came home. Today, I stayed home from church with Super Girl and her runny nose. But I got a call from my hubby telling me he shot an elk! So we'll have meat for the next year! I hope he got some pictures so I can either post or scrapbook them! He is staying where he is so everyone else can get one too. They are hoping to come home with 8 animals! An elk and a deer for each of the hunters! Anyway, I guess losing my husband for all the weekends in October was worth it after all! Anyway, that's all for now. I have my appointment with my personal trainer tomorrow, so I'll know how much fat I've lost! Until next time. Bye!!!

Weekly weigh in...

I'm well on my way! I made my goal again this week! Another pound gone FOREVER!!! 214.5 and shrinking daily!!! I adapted my goal for my ultimate end result. I am now striving for my weight to be 160 by Jan 14, 2010! I am supposed to lose about .84 of a pound a week, but I will probably stick to the 1 lb per week and reach my goal early! At least, that's the plan! Wish me luck! Also, I will have new body fat percentage measured next monday. I started at 36%, so hopefully I've lost some fat and not just water or muscle. Anyway, I'll post my new numbers next wednesday! Until next time...GET MOVING!!!

Weekly Weigh in...

Wooooooooo Hoooooooooo! I did it again! Even with the conference party chow down, I managed to lose 1 lb this week! Really, I did it in 6 days, but who cares about that anyway...OH YEAH, I DO!!!! So the program is going well. I hope I can continue this trend and lose more and more weight. My ultimate goal is to be 160-170 for my 10 year anniversary in Jan 2010. I know it's far off, but I want to lose the weight slowly so my skin will hopefully adjust and I won't be left with yards of extra skin...Hopefully... anyway, that's my update for now!

I love conference...and conference parties!!!

I have this glorious tradition at conference time. You've heard of SuperBowl parties, right? Well, Hot Mama and I have Conference Parties! Usually we only have them for Sunday, but since both of our Hubbies were gone for Saturday, we decided that we would have another party on Saturday!

So, on Saturday, Hot Mama came to my house with her kids and an awesome conference packet! We scrapbooked and listened to conference while the kids did their packets. We were amazed at how well the kids payed attention and enjoyed their packets. We only had to pause conference a couple of times (Thank You TiVo!!!) And the kids watched both conferences! We had every kind of candy and yummy treats on hand for our munching delight. For lunch we had sandwiches and fruit salad. And for dinner we did a baked potato bar and more fruit salad! It was a wonderful feast of body and spirit!

On Sunday, I went to Hot Mama's house where we watched the 1st session of conference and then had our traditional lunch...Lil Smokies, meatballs, deviled eggs, 7 layer chip dip and more fruit salad (I made a very large one evidently). Then we watched the 2nd session of conference, but the kids didn't make it past the 1st 30 minutes, but they watched 6 1/2 hours of conference over the weekend! That's pretty awesome for kids ages 5,6 and 8! Anyway, I just loved the messages that were shared.

My favorite message was President Monson's address about enjoying the journey. It spoke so much peace to my soul that I am doing exactly what I need to do right now, be home with my kids and enjoy this precious time. I have a very strong opinion that kids come 1st, then whatever housework I do get done is just a bonus! I very rarely let my house get to the "thrashed" state, but when it happens, it's usually because I have been doing something amazing for or with my kids. What a wonderful blessing it is to see these little ones grow and progress!

Anyway, enough of the mushy stuff, I just had to share my joy. I found the blog of the woman who created the conference packet, she does a new one for each conference... so her's her blog address for next time!

Hope you all had an enlightening and joyful weekend!

Autumn is in the air...and the trees!!!

Wee took a drive tonight and had a picnic in the mountains where we could see the fall colors. The kids made a leaf pile and jumped in it. They were also buried in leaves! They had so much fun! Gma and Gpa had a great time too. Sorry you missed out on the fun Tall Boy, but maybe you'll bring home a deer or elk for it?! :)

Hope you are all taking the time to appreciate this beautiful time of year...it won't be around very long!

The Weekly Weigh-In!

I weighed in yesterday at 219.3... I was really sad that I gained back some of the weight I lost from the previous week...DARN YOU DISNEYLAND AND TONY ROMAS!!! Anyway, I have been doing great at home. So great in fact that I weighed in again today and I was back down to 216.5! It's amazing the difference 1 day can make! So, only 10 more weeks and 8.5 more pounds to go! I really hope I do more than 8 pounds, but I set my goal lower so I could feel good about doing more instead of feeling bad when I didn't make the goal. I really should go into Psychology! Anyway, that's my news. no change from last week...I can't wait until next wednesday!
