The last sewing project...for now...

This is it for awhile for me, the last project I had was this dress I had been wanting to make for 2 years now? I've had everything to do it with since before Super Girl was born! ANywho, it's finally done and SO CUTE!

Can you say CHOCOHOLIC?

Yesterday I was having a hard time getting out of bed...I was awake, but the kids were also awake and in the front room. I finally convinced my aching body to get up, and this is what I found...

These are the pictures I took after I put away the bag of Riesens that she had gotten into...she just might be my daughter after all! Can you say CHOCOHOLIC? Hello, my name is Scrap Happy Mommy, and I'm a chocoholic...and this is my daughter Super Girl, she's also a chocoholic... anyone know of any C.A. (chocoholics anonymous) meetings we can attend?

Precious Moments

I just had to post this after I saw just how cute these pics turned out. I was painting my toenails on Saturday, and Super Girl came and sat by me and put her toes up to be painted. I just put a tiny bit on and she was happy. But then I put decals on mine and she wanted some too! So this is how hers turned out...
That was just one of those moments that you get to realize..."This is why I am a mother" just for moments like these...

Easter Fun!

We had a great day. We had wonderful lessons at church that made me really appreciate my life. After church, we came home to ham warming in the oven and scalloped potatoes cooking in the crock pot. 30 minutes later we were devouring the feast! We also ate the cute little bunny cake for dessert! He was delicious! (Sorry to all you bunny lovers out there!) I hid 36 plastic eggs and Super Boy and Super Girl had a blast collecting them. Tall Boy helped Super Girl and Gma helped Super Boy...and I took these!

After all was said and done, Super Boy ended up with 22 eggs in the red bucket and Super Girl ended up with 14 eggs in the plastic bag! We had so much fun opening them all and finding the treasures! Super Boy endedd up with $3.08 out of eggs and Super Girl got a measly $o.97 but she was still happy because all she cared about was the CANDY! SO that was our fun Easter...what did you do?

My Easter dress is done too! (Just in time!)

Happy Easter!
I worked all day (some of it was at 3am!) on my dress, I think it is beautiful, but I couldn't get the lace trim to lay down like I wanted to. But I am still very pleased with the outcomes of my latest craze! I am wearing my dress to church along with my snazzy sparkly strappy shoes!

I am also posting my other fabulously cute strappy shoes just so all of you who know me and have heard me rant and rave about them can finally see them for yourselves!

In other news, we had our church Easter party today and the kids had so much fun playing games and running around. I had a ton of fun decorating Easter eggs and talking with some amazing and fun people! I am including photos of all the eggs I did...they had such cute ideas there that I want to share...I never would have thought to do this with Easter eggs!
The 1st 2 pictures have alphabet macaroni glued on...I tried to get a close up, but they didn't turn out very well. The 2nd photo has macaroni that spell out DAD. Then there are buttons, ribbon, raffia and yarn...SO CUTE!

The Easter bunny was generous with candy again this year, but the kids also got a cuddly friend (or 2) some bath soap foam, and a bucket of cotton candy. Super Girl got a fluffy, soft pastel dog and a little giraffe. Super Boy got a cute little elephant.

My mom is amazing and is always sending stuff for the kids for every holiday. For this Easter, she embroidered an elephant on a tie for Super boy, and he got some candy (not much THANK YOU!) and a little car. Super Girl got a fuzzy red bag to match her fuzzy red had (picture posted on a previous blog), a little monkey and a little bit of candy~ all of which is in the cutest little bag ever! My mom always finds the cutest stuff! Thanks for being so great mom...I love ya a ton!

Easter Cakes...I know...I'm on a roll!

Okay, so if getting organized and labeling everything under the sun wasn't enough, I even made some Easter cakes today! I know, I rock...I am so on a roll! (ha ha ha! Rock and roll!) Maybe my medication is finally evening out, or maybe it's been my positive attitude these past few days...who knows! Anywho, Super Boy helped decorate the bunny one, and I did the egg one myself. We will share the egg one with church people at our church's Easter party on Saturday. The bunny will remain ours for Sunday dessert. Just thought they were too cute to not show. I also took a picture of the bunny tin (thanks mom) that we used, just so you could see. Enjoy!

Ode to my labeler...

To my labeler, oh how I love you!

You make my house so organized, there is no one above you!

You tell me where my treasures abide, you keep me slightly sane.

I love to use you so much now, I can't wait to use you again!

The only way to make you better, is make you able to scrub and clean...

Toilets, dishes, floors, await you...but only in my dreams.

Oh my labeler, sweet labeler, you make my life complete,

You make my life so pretty and clean, no one can compete!

Thanks to my great friend for the idea, I have been going crazy labeling everything!

I have been on an organization kick for a few days now, and it is great! All my pantries have labels, some of my cabinets have labels (soon to be most!) I have labeled baskets on top of fridge and freezer...I have little boxes for Super Girl's hair stuff, my makeup, makeup brushes, nail polish, nail care...all labeled of course! Super Boy has been so willing to help, he loves to type out the stuff and print and cut the labels too! We organized a game pantry. We have plastic show boxes labeled for puzzles, card games, face cards, hand held games...you get the idea! Anyway, my life is a little more organized thanks to my friend and my handy-dandy labeler!

Dresses...dresses...dresses!!!

I think I just might be crazy! I decided to keep a tradition alive and make my daughter an easter dress every year. Well, this year I found so many cute and good ideas that I am making 4 easter dresses! 3 for girls and 1 for me! I just finishes the 1st one last night (8 hours after starting!) I am also planning on making a bolero jacket out of the same material I made the apron out of (see post just before this one) and I am doing a summer dress that I've been meaning to do for a year now! It feels good to have some projects that don't include the words "clean" and "house" in them! Then dress I finished first is for a friend's daughter...it is light blue and has a matching purse!!! Too cute...I'll post the rest when I get them done...wish me luck!
