Yeesh! It's September!

Wow, summer seemed to drag on, but it really did fly by! So much to catch up on!

At the end of June my parents, sister, and brother came to visit and brought their families along! We had 14 people in our house for a few days so it was a bit crazy, but WAY fun! We saw the movie 17 miracles together...We went to Temple Square...

The assembly hall is amazing and so beautiful!

 Especially the glass windows!

 Having fun along the way!

We went to the visitor's center...
 And the tabernacle...

Walking around downtown we saw these cool fountains...
and then we all went to Hatch Family Chocolates together...

We were all  so amazed by their awesome creations...especially the basketball!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and all our company left us after the 4th of July.

During July, Gma  and Gpa C took the kiddos for a week. The last day was a service project making blankets. The kids loved helping out!

While they were gone I had a chance to make some more baby stuff for an expectant mother in our ward, I really think they all came out so cute! (sorry some are blurry, don't know what happened there!)

For the month of August we mainly tried to stay cool and visited with friends. I also started a refinishing project on our dining table... This was the color before sanding...
After sanding...

After new stain!

And now with the gloss polyurethane on top...
You can still see the original color on the legs and base of the table...now I just need to get it all finished!

Then it was finally time to get back to school at the end of August! Super Boy is in the 4th grade and Super Girl finally gets to go to Kindergarten! I also am in school taking an online class and actually attending a class on campus as well...my first time in 7 years! Here's Super Boy on his 1st day of 4th grade...

And super girl on her 1st day of Kindergarten!
Then for this month,Super Girl turned 5! We had our family celebration on her birthday, and had a party on the following Saturday...

Tall Boy really loved the hair clippies from Gma & Gpa K
And Super Girl absolutely adores this doll from Gma & Gpa K!
Gma K even made these cute outfits for the doll...

For the party on Saturday Super Girl wanted a "Jane and the Dragon" theme. So we learned how to shoot cannonballs at a castle (bean bag toss)...
And played pin the tail on the dragon...
And I did my best to produce a "Jane and the dragon" cake...

Super Girl had a great time!

She even dressed up as a dragon briefly...
But if you party this hard you have to be prepared for the inevitable crash...Good night birthday girl!
This month Super Boy has his 1st pinewood derby, he and I made his car the other day...
Super Boy designed it, helped cut it out using a coping saw, sanded it, painted it, and put numbers on...isn't it a beauty!
So that's what we have been up to! Who knows when I will get another post done...so I hope you really enjoyed this one!
