Super Boy's class did such a great job at the school's Christmas Sing-Along. They were dead-last to perform, but they waited patiently and it was great. Sorry for the poor quality of the video, but they didn't let us get very close. The 1st song is "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer" and i is very quiet. The 2nd song is "I want to be your personal penguin" and it WILL GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD!!! Fair Warning now! It's been in my head for 2 weeks now! If you dare...listen up!

Super Girl stars in "Heidi at Christmas"...Backstage Photos!
Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!
We have now had 2 very impressive snow storms and are supposed to get another one for Christmas Eve!
These are pictures from the 1st storm...8 inches!!! The storm we had last night was 8 inches as well...that's the most snow we've ever seen here! Thank heavens it warmed up right before the 2nd storm, or we would be at least knee-high in snow!
We haven' been able to make a snow man yet the snow has been too powdery...but hopefully our next storm will bring some wetter snow! The kids just were so excited to get out and play and have a ride in the sled...thanks Grandpa for buying them! Super Girl didn't like her hat very much, so her hair got very snowy and icy...she didn't stay out for very long!
Anyway, hope you like our Winter Wonderland Pictures!

Thanksgiving on so many levels!
We have had quite the whirlwind of activity here! We have had family from out of town, Elk hunting, trips down the stairs and SO MUCH MORE!
We will start with family...we had Thanksgiving on Tuesday with 17 people! The Saturday before was spent making 11 pies, The Sunday was spent making tons of rolls! My sister-in-law came decked out with crafts for 7 kids! They made turkey napkin rings, snowman thermometers, and Nativity ornaments! It was a bit stressful, but the kids loved it! We had done a test run with the turkey 2 weeks prior, and again it was phenomenal! We used the convection feature on the oven and the turkey was juicy everywhere!
Next are the trips down the stairs...first it was Super Girl attempting to fly down the stairs, she chipped a tooth and got a few bumps and bruises along the way. Then a couple days later, I was walking down the stairs in my socks, and my foot slipped out from under me...BAM right on the tooshie! OUCH! I think I bruised my tail bone! It still hurts sometimes!
During the weekend before Thanksgiving, Tall boy, all his brothers and his dad all went Elk hunting. Tall boy's brother and Tall boy's friend from work both got Elks over the weekend! Tall boy was unsuccessful, but he decided to go with Super Boy the following weekend. Tall boy's friend from work brought his kids. The kids had fun and Tall boy got his elk!
After things settled down a bit, Gma and I went to do dry pack canning. We did SO MANY CANS! Just the 2 of us canned atleast 70 cans! We bought 32 of them! It felt so good to do something that is so important for my family.
Last but certainly not least are some pictures of Super Girl in her Christmas Dress and another of her with a rootbeer float mustache!

Some Cute Pictures
I just couldn't resist putting these pics on my blog! I have such cute kids! I did Super Girl's hair into 3 pig tails one night, she was so adorable, and of course brother had to have one picture with her too, then Tall Boy took some pics of Super Girl coming down the stairs the other night. She is finally getting the hang of it and isn't scaring me to death everytime she attempts them! Anyway, just thought I'd post the cuteness!
Happy Birthday to ME!!!
I had a most splendid, wonderful birthday. Tall Boy stayed home from work, so we all went out to breakfast. Then we came home and I opened presents, Nathan took the pictures. I got a card game called SWAP, a 4X4 Rubik's Cube, some chocolate covered candy sticks and a can of almond roca! Then Tall Boy took Super Boy to school. I put Super Girl down for a nap, then Tall Boy gave me a massage! SO GOOD! I asked him if I could have a birthday everyday, he replied "we'll see", that's enough for me to hope on! After my glorious massage, I was ready for a nap, but I couldn't stop thinking about how to solve the Rubik's cube! Later that night, Gma and Gpa watched the kids and Tall Boy and I went out to dinner at my favorite BBQ place. It was SO NICE to have someone else cook, do the dishes, and clean off the table when we were done eating! It was also very nice to not hear "mom, mom, mom!" for about an hour! After we got home from dinner, Tall Boy and Super Boy baked me a Hot Fudge Cake! We ate it while it was warm with some vanilla ice cream. It was just a great day! Hope you enjoy the pics!

The Amazing Jabber-walkie!
I had to post this video of Super Girl so you all could see her adorable personality! She's learning how to come down the stairs (she's a pro at getting up them!) And then there is her jibber jabber! It is SO adorable! I hope you enjoy it!
Cute, Cute Kids!
As promised, here are some photos of Super Boy and Super Girl! We had a very fun Halloween. Last weekend Gma and Gpa took both kids to a party at a relative's farm. They rode on a hay ride, picked out pumpkins, played carnival games and had some tasty treats. Super Boy said his favorite part was riding the log swing. If you can't tell from the photos, Super Boy is an Elephant, and Super Girl is a Monkey...both very fitting! We also had a church harvest party. Super Boy got a prize for the smallest pumpkin there! He also competed in a donut eating race and bobbed for an apple! We carved a spooky, cute pumpkin too! All in all, we've had a lot of fun! In other news, Super Girl now has 10 teeth! 2 of those are molars! She has also learned how to give 5! And the best news of all...I had my 1st official "mommy's day off" last Saturday...it was AWESOME! I got a manicure, pedicure, haircut, and an hour long massage! It was much needed (and much deserved if I do say so myself!:) Then I came home, went out to dinner with the hubby (the kids were at the aforementioned party with Gma and Gpa), then we rented a couple of movies and watched them at home from the comfort of our bed! The kids got home at about 9:30, just in time to go to bed! It was a great day! So that's how we are doing these days! Hope you are all well. I'll leave you with a couple more pictures...until next time! Super Boy's 1st haircut given by HIMSELF!!! (This was 16 days before picture day mind you!:) Super Girl with her bike, and Super Girl with her friend (believe it or not, her friend is almost a year older than her!) Bye!

Our Adventures Continue!
Just a quick update to let you know about our crazy life lately...
Supergirl never ceases to amaze me! I have been putting her in a toddler bed for about a week now, and she does great! She can get in and out all by herself, but she stays in bed all night! She can also climb into my bed on her own now too! Her vocabulary is increasing as well as the amount of teeth in her mouth! Supergirl now says "up" and I think she is starting to say "all done" too. She has 7 teeth in the front, and she is cutting her 2 top molars right now. Supergirl is also giving kisses to EVERYTHING now! She is SO CUTE!!!
Sorry there are no pictures for this post, I promise I'll post some next time when I do our kids in their Halloween costumes. Supergirl is going to be a monkey (she already IS a monkey!) and Superboy will be an Elephant, his favorite animal!
Tall boy has been hunting the past 3 weekends, and this last time was the hardest on me. Anyone who has seen me in the past 4 days knows how difficult it has been, cause I have been complaining quite loudly! It is one thing to just be missing a husband for a few days, but to also have all kids and me with a cold, Supergirl cutting molars and waking up in the night crying for hours on end (those molars hurt when they are trying to break through the skin) and me feeling like a train has hit me...BAD COMBINATION! I have now demanded a non-negotiable, mandatory day off once a month. I scheduled them for the next year and 2-1/2 months! They are already on our calendar in ink! My first day off is on sat the 27th! We'll see how it goes!
Well, I think that does it for now...take care, until next time...BYE!

Oh the Places She Goes!
Our Super Girl is at it again! She can leap into toy boxes with a single bound...she is faster than a speeding bullet...she can see food from a mile away! Okay, so maybe she's not quite that advanced, but she sure can get around these days! She is getting into everything! I have been trying to capture her walking on video, but every time I have the camera ready, she decides that she is going to plop down in the middle of the floor! Just goes to show that her personality is larger than life! I promise she can walk 20 steps easily! But, in the video, you will only see about 5! But be grateful for what you are given! We sure are having lots of fun! Super Girl has even amazed us with her MASSIVE vocabulary! She says "Uh Oh!" "Dee Doo (thank you)" and "cat"! She learned "cat" from her Princess Meowy stuffed kitty! She absolutely LOVES that cat! So, I hope you enjoy our crazyness! PS: Pay No Attention To The Messy House! I Told You We Are Having Fun!

Fun in the Sun!
What's with my kids growing up?
Super Boy had his first day of Kindergarten! First, my baby turns 1, then my oldest goes off to school! As you can see by the photo provided, Super Boy was NOT excited at ALL!!! Not even the rain could keep him from going! In fact, I think it made it that much more fun! Just goes to show that time flies when you're having fun!
Happy Birthday Super Girl!
Wow! Where has the time gone!?! Tall Boy is SO SAD!!!! He can no longer say that our baby is ZERO! We had a small party with family to celebrate, after all, she is only 1! Among the presents are the toys Super Girl always wants to steal from Super Boy, some very cute outfits and a walking toy. Super Girl showed instant affection for the walking toy and Princess Meowy (the stuffed cat). She didn't blow out her own candle (by choice, not inability) but she did eat cake!

Oh the Joys!!!
Well, Super Girl has done it again! She never ceases to amaze me at the variety of trouble and mischief she can get herself into! She is walking much better now, and if we don't put up the gate, she will climb up stairs in about 30 seconds! I finally gave in and decided to let her feed herself with a spoon (she's almost 1 after all). She has been feeding herself crackers adn other pick-up foods, but this was the first time I let her have a try at spoon feeding without me there to help...this was the result...
She was attempting to eat sweet potatoes if anyone was wondering! In other news, Super girl's hair is now long enough to put into 2 side ponytails (sort of) she looked so cute that I thought I'd post these pics too.
And here's our little mischief maker caught in the act! I can't believe how fast she can get up those stairs when she is motivated! In fact, if I catch her crawling toward the stairs, she speeds up, crawling faster toward the stairs (like I'm not going to be able to catch up to her in time!) Ha HaHa!!! She is SO FUNNY!

Up, Up, and Away!
We had the privilege this past weekend to attend a Hot Air Balloon Festival here in town. It was so amazing! The most amazing part was that I got myself and 2 kids up and out the door at 6:15am!!!!! We went to see the balloons launch at sunrise. They didn't quite make it at sunrise, it was more like 7:45am. The winds were not cooperating before then. But 4 balloons launched and another 6 (or so) just inflated and stayed on the ground. But it was so cool to see the whole process of how they set up these amazing balloons. The bottom picture out of the 3 on top here is a picture looking inside the balloon while it's being inflated on the ground (just in case you couldn't tell).
So that was Saturday morning. Then Saturday night they held a "glow" where the balloons all stay on the ground and just light up the balloons every time they send flames shooting into the massive balloon to keep it upright. IT WAS SO COOL!!!!! And not to mention BEAUTIFUL! We had such a great time.
Super Boy's favorite balloon was this HUGE PIGGY BANK!!! This photo was taken at the glow, this is the piggy's rear end! The balloon is owned by a local bank. They let kids touch it and climb under it while it was being deflated. It had a coin ready to "fall in" on top and was just an amazing sight. I ever got a great picture of it because I was being dragged here and there by Super Boy wanting to see this or that. We were slightly disappointed because it never left the ground, but we told the owners how cool it was, and that we hoped to someday see the day when pigs fly! They had a good laugh at that (probably out of pity, I'm sure they've heard that joke before!)
My favorite was the "glow". 2 or 3 balloons really lit up well, while the other (darker colored balloons) were harder to see when they were lit up. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed seeing this amazing sight! They say it was a 1st Annual event, so hopefully they'll do it again next year, and then I can invite anyone that lives close enough to come out too! Bye for now!
